At dawn on July 15, 1099, the Crusaders gathered before the walls of Jerusalem. After weeks of siege, suffering from a lack of water and food, they were determined to break the city's defenses. Jerusalem was not only a strategic target for them but above all a sacred place they wanted to reclaim for Christianity. The warriors prepared for the decisive attack that would end their long and exhausting journey from Europe.

The Crusaders attacked with incredible force and determination. Using siege towers and ladders, they breached the walls and stormed into the city. The defenders, exhausted and caught off guard by the intensity of the attack, could not resist. The Crusaders then unleashed a massacre that affected not only soldiers but also the civilian population. Jerusalem turned into a place of chaos and bloodshed, showing no mercy.

The conquest of Jerusalem had both immediate and long-term impacts. The Crusaders established the Kingdom of Jerusalem here, which became the center of their power in the Middle East. The event left a deep mark on the history of the Crusades and heightened tensions between Christians, Muslims, and Jews. The bloody conquest of Jerusalem became a symbol of religious fanaticism and conflicts that persist to this day.
