The First Ride on the Three-Wheeled Marvel

In 1886, in a workshop in Mannheim, Germany, Karl Benz completed his revolutionary invention. He stood before a three-wheeled vehicle powered by an internal combustion engine – the Motorwagen. It was the result of years of research and experimentation with new technologies. Benz believed that his machine could change the way people move, despite the skeptical glances from those around him.

The first ride in the Motorwagen was not without its problems. The vehicle reached a speed of only about 16 km/h and was difficult to control. However, Benz proved that his machine was capable of independent movement without the need for horse power. This ride was proof that the internal combustion engine could be a practical source of propulsion and opened the door to further innovations in transportation.

The consequences of Benz's invention were far-reaching.
